Local Chocolaty Goodness

So while looking for parking in the Fremont neighborhood I saw written on the side of an older looking brick building " chocolate" now really for this chocolate lover that was about all I needed to see.... So I asked the Hubby " want to investigate?" and we did. Let me tell you we were not sorry! We found Theo's Chocolates. They have a great show room, lots of yummy samples and a warm kind staff. It was a great find! So we left with Yummy Goodness and I found a great idea for a field trip outing! For $6.00 you can tour the factory!! Personally I am a HUGE fan of Mr Rodgers and my favorite part of his show was when you got to go see how factories worked. So now almost 30 years later I am still a sucker for seeing the process, live and in person.

Due to our budget and plans to go to the zoo.... we did not tour but I so have plans a brew'n.

Personally I LOVED the Chi Tea bar and the regular milk chocolate bar too.... OHH but my I only got $5.00 pick would be to just get the hot drinking chocolate.

Klesick Family Farms is how this vegetarian family gets 90% of our weekly grub. In this time of financial uncertainty for so many of us I find it important to look to local suppliers for our daily consumption. Not only is this box a great price, which has drastically help our food budget. They deliver the box to our door. REALLY! So we are saving gas. Also we are keeping local farmers in busness. Their farms mean less suburban sprall, and more green open space.

They call their box "a box of good." Let me tell you it is that and so much more! Every week the little one and I crack the door open every 30 mins or so untill our box comes. When it gets here we spend about a half an hour going threw it feeling and identifing the veggies and fruits. The box has been a great learning tool and distraction on bad teathing days.
